As a part of the AA visiting school programme, which is a growing international collaborative platform, the Baku school will become part of a global network.   The two-week workshop will explore Baku's rich past and position at the crossroads between east and west, and participants will consider the future of Azerbaijan in relation to this unique position. The programme will include model making, discussions and site visits, and a public presentation by students at the end of the workshop. The school is open to students aged 17 and above, and is aimed at both established and emerging architects, artists, scientists, engineers, curators and writers interested in the future architecture of Baku. The school will run as part of the third Baku Public Art Festival, which runs from 13 June to 5 October 2015. Commissioned by YARAT Contemporary Art Space, the festival includes exhibitions, a film club, artist talks and a web-based virtual public art forum.
